Cookies are small records sent with website requests. Local storage stays in your browser until removed and does not have a built-in expiry. Session storage belongs to a tab session. We use storage needed for your requested features and consent choice, and optional analytics only if you agree.
Essential and requested-function storage
This storage supports sign-in, consent choices and the features you request; analytics consent is not required. Rejecting analytics does not prevent registration, login, gift features or checkout.

Optional analytics — off by default
Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics 4 only after acceptance. Before you choose, and after rejection, Givumi does not load these scripts, send analytics requests (including consent-mode cookieless pings), read or create analytics deduplication storage, or queue actions for later replay. Scrolling or continuing to browse does not count as consent. Advertising storage and personalisation remain denied.

Google receives cookie identifiers and browser/device and usage information, including visit times and technical network information. Analytics is not anonymous. Givumi supplies a generic website address and page title for analytics, with no query strings, fragments or personal page identifiers. Names, emails, recipient descriptions or interests, payment information and other user-entered details are not included in Givumi's analytics event payloads.
Completed actions can be placed in the consent-gated analytics data layer: sign-up, login, gift search, gift saved, gift not interested, gift marked bought, affiliate click, new Brainstorm generation and confirmed subscription start. Allowed event details are fixed method/action labels, recommendation source, result/idea counts, plan and billing interval; free-text categories and retailer labels are omitted. The currently published Tag Manager container contains the Google tag, but no custom event tags, so these custom actions are not yet forwarded to GA4 by that container.
Payments and other websites
Checkout and Manage subscription open Stripe's hosted pages. Stripe may use cookies such as __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid for payment security on its own pages. Givumi does not load embedded Stripe.js or configure those cookies' expiry; their exact use and duration are controlled by Stripe, not our consent choice. See Stripe's Cookie Policy.
Google Fonts are loaded remotely to deliver Figtree and Fraunces. Google receives your IP address and request information when delivering font files; this is separate from Analytics and is not described as analytics consent.

Changing or withdrawing consent
Use Cookie settings here or in the footer at any time. Both acceptance and rejection are remembered for 180 days. On withdrawal we save your choice, remove accessible Givumi-domain Google Analytics cookies and ga_once local storage, and reload if needed to stop scripts already loaded. Authentication and essential preferences are preserved. This does not erase information Google already processed, and cookies belonging to other websites cannot be removed by Givumi.
